I like Rusty's too. And I have never had problems with ordering anything or customer service. The springs I have are still where they were when I got them. No sag at all and not a bad ride. All my stiffness comes from the monster in the back

I spoke with Jeepin Jason and here's what he said:

According to RE the spring rates for both their 3.5" and 4.5" leaf spring packs is 190lbs/in.

The reason i asked was because it's difficult to tell the actual ride quality of a spring/shock combo when you are on short arm. the suspension doesn't cycle the way its' supposed to and is harsher at that height on shorties.

I have. I am running their 930 coil spring right now. That's all they offer for the XJ up front. You can run their 934 coil spring, which is for the ZJ i believe and has a higher spring rate of 180 but it's not GUARANTEED to give 3" of lift so i don't want to risk spending another $150 and not reach the height i am aiming for.

Another option would be to run their 4" tj springs, which have a lower spring rate but net about 3" on an xj. The problem with this would be the lesser spring rate would sag easier.

Thanks for the info. I think i'm gonna go with skyjacker 3' coils. I was outside measuring the actual lift using 17.5"/17" stock measurements, if those are correct. My front is 21" and rear is 21.5" loaded. It's 22.5" unloaded. So my springs are giving me 3.5" up front and 5.5" (unloaded) out back. I guess the OME coils only sagged 1/2", less than what i was thinking. I don't think the RC brackets will work with the 3.5" front so i have to upgrade the coils. Hopefully i can grab those springs today when i wake up.

I still have yet to figure out what skyjacker's spring rates are and no one lists them on their website (all others are listed ). Oh well, i had em on my TJ and they rode real nice with OME shocks so i'll take my own word for it that these will ride nice.

Ok here's what went down today:

I called skyjacker again, and got hung up on twice before getting someone to actually answer my relay call. I asked them what the spring rate was for their 3" cherokee coil springs and i get a "dunno" type of answer and some other bullshi$ that's not even related to my question so I gave up on them. I'm not gonna risk wasting my time with them if they can't assist me with knowledge on their products. I decided to call Rusty's and expected a hassle but it was the complete opposite. They answered on the first try and gave me all the information i could ask for. They swayed me from getting the 150 lb springs because they know they will sag with extra weight (smart) like they did with KTM. Plus they guaranteed i would not be disappointed with the ride quality of their HD springs. They said if i order today, it will ship out monday so....I ordered their HD 3" coil springs with 180 spring rate. I never thought i'd be ordering from them again but I think they made some improvements in CS so i'm giving them another chance.

We'll see how the transaction goes down and how the springs are in due time.

I dunno why Rusty's get's so much grief..I have ordered a few things from em and never had an issue..Granted I may not order certain items which rely on their johnny joints or tre's but other then that I wouldn't hesitate..

I ordered this morning and it shipped out with tracking numbers already. That was a bit fast.

I got the coils today. It was three business days after order so i would say that's fast shipping.

They appear to be slightly thicker than the old man emu coils I had on and alot firmer.

With my old man emu springs and 2" spacers, i was at 3.5" up front. Now with the rusty's hd 3" springs and 1" spacer, i netted exactly 5". I'm right where i want to be and hoping maybe the springs will sag 1/2" or so.

looks pretty even but i got ALOT of tools in the back. Once that junk is out, it should be about 1/2" higher in the rear.
