Exclamation Coil controversy

ok right now i have stock springs on the front of my 85xj
and was opting for some softer springs that will retain ride higth
i have camaro springs lying around and definatly softer but would it retain the higth ?
and this is with a 3 inch lift going in on top of um

you want springs that are softer than the stockers? hate to tell you this but stock coils are about as soft as it gets. for lift springs i know rusty's makes a 3" coil with a stockish spring rate that is supposed to ride nice

how much thinner are the camaro coils/vs xj coils? if a little thinner then the lower spring rate should allow it to sag a little more than stock, and since its longer it should settle down to around xj length. only way to find out is to try it.

oh yea the stock ones compress quite a bit so the camaro ones are probably shorter. the stock coils are very flexy, i would just leave them on
