code help
I got this code reader from harbor freight cuz i got the check engine light and it was on sale so.....out came the wallet. According to the reader, i got P0303 which is cylinder 3 misfire detected. My jeep's running just fine but the check engine light won't go out. It pops up again after i disco the battery. Aren't misfires supposed to rumble a little? (i can't hear misfires due to my hearing loss)

do a quick search for a misfire cyl, depending on what year you have im pretty sure there was a TSB for a misfire, if so it will tell you exactly what to do. start there.

Did that and came up with a fix consisting of wrapping some heat shielding around it. I'm doubting the fix but giving it a try. All the threads regarding misfires are talking about rough idle and stuff and mine's not idling rough.
