Code 24
The code reader I used indicated code 24, voltage high or low to TPS when the check engine light came on and the Jeep ran like crap. My Chiltons says when testing with multi-meter one terminal should test 5 Vdc. One terminal tested 5.0 Vdc, one tested 4.16 Vdc and the last was .1 Vdc, (I assume this one was the ground?). So I replaced the TPS. Today the Jeep ran great on the way to the store but coming home, the check engine light came on again and it ran like crap again. Checked with the code reader and got code 24 again. Am I missing anything??? It seems to be happening intermittently.

A code can appear when the sensor itself is bad, or anything along the entire "circuit" of that sensor.
If you continue to have symptoms and code 24, stay on that TPS circuit. OBD is far from perfect, but awfully darn good at pointing you to the offending circuit.
Remove the TPS connector, clean thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner, add a tiny dab of dielectric grease and reconnect. Inspect every inch of wiring along that circuit as well. Where did you buy your new TPS sensor from?

I bought it at O'Riellys. I'm on a low budget. I was advised to remove the battery cables and basically let the computer reset. I'll do a test drive in the morning. Thanks for replying.
