A lot of automotive companies recommend or insist upon shifting into N before 4wd, but Chrysler doesn't, I read the owners manual from cover to cover and found nothing about shifting into N before 4wd only if your shifting into 4Lo but (I think it's the same for everyone) I have to shift neutral, switch my diff to neutral, then shift into Park before I can go into 4lo for some reason

That's interesting... I never read the manual guess I should huh? My 4H got stuck one of the few times I didn't shift into N first so I avoid doing so since then. That's an interesting quirk.

Only issue I had with shifting in and out of 4H was when I forgot to let off of the gas all of the way one time and heard a loud grinding noise that sounded like a 16 year old, ditsy, blonde idiot trying to change gears in a manual without hitting the clutch
