we dont have one!!!! hahaha trust me it took me a few times of starting the car and having it jerk forward to realize this...

its probably down somewhere along the pedal arm.

Hmmm maybe it is a newer xj thing.... Cause i have driven 2 different early model xj's and they dont have em.....

doesnt matter what gear or clutch in or clutch out it'll start when you turn the key.

i know on both my tj's, it is a clip under the dash by the clutch pedal, but on some others (newer maybe), it's just a fuse.
look in your manual, it should tell you where it is.

do you have a hydraulic clutch? If so, from the 2000 XJ manual:

"The clutch pedal position switch is integral to
the master cylinder of the clutch hydraulic linkage
assembly on models equipped with a manual transmission."
