Default clutch pressure!!!help!!!

so the last few days the xj pedal has seemed to be getting a little softer. so soft it would grind into reverse. but today it wasn't. shifts fine. if i pump it it doesnt do anything different. just feels like it should have more pressure maybe. its a 93' with an internal slave. the master has 1 small dried up drip of fluid on the firewall, but thats it? also it has started to whistle lately in neutral when i rev it or sometimes at idle. could it just be air in the system? would an air bubble cause it to feel just a tad softer but still work fine? Thanks!!!!

Whistling in neutral and lower pressure ... that has a hydraulic throwout bearing right? That's where I would look.

i was reading that if the throwout bearing went you would feel a grinding when in gear? its perfectly smooth driving and shifting. 1st seems just a tad bit harder to get into, but the clutch doesnt feel like its 100% disengaging just like 90%

Your.clutch might.also be bad... your diaphragm springs might be worn.

yeah but i wouldn't think that over 1 or 2 days the springs would wear out that significantly. its went from being perfect to 2 days later harder to shift and the clutch pedal is softer? i hope its not the slave... maybe the master?

Just give it another day or two, something will fail.
