Default clutch master cylinder or salve?

I bought my cherokee last week and and am having a problem with the clutch. The clutch works good to shift but when i stop it doesnt stay disengaged very long. Every time i stop i have to put it in neutral and let the pedel out or else it will start to engage. The guy i bought it from said he had to add fluid some times but i dont see any leaks. I know it is a problem with the master or slave but im not sure which one. What do yall think?

Well as far as I know, the master cylinder just holds the fluid. If there aren't any leaks, out of the two you listed, it's probably the slave.

I just finished up replacing my clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate, and pilot bearing in my XJ. I had an issue with the slave after. The clutch had no weight at all. I just had to add some fluid and bleed the clutch and it was good. Have you bled the clutch?

Probably the slave cylinder inside the bell housing be hard to see a slow leak. Feel on the very lowest part of the bellhousing. no reason really to be adding fluid on a regular basis unless its leaking. If it gets too low your gonna trap air. Bleed it see if it holds not good on the disc to have it slipping like that.
