Default Clutch Master Cylinder...Requested help in diagnosing problem

Hello Jeepers, Creepers, and Crawlers,

I have a question about a Clutch Master Cylinder...I am going to replace it, but didn't know if y'all knew of any tricks for diagnosing it. So I threw a new Power Torque Clutch Master Cylinder and slave cylinder in my Jeep three years ago.

When I was leaving my house to pick up an awesome Craigslist deal, I pressed in the clutch pedal and heard a 'POP'.

The shaft was stuck insided the master cylinder.

Facts: No fluid leaking, slave cylinder seems to be good.

I'm buying a new one, but besides a crappy Master Cylinder, any recommendations?

I would get one from the dealer. They come as one unit and require no bleeding once they are installed.

X2 ^ and they are not prone to premature failure like the after market junk.

I am horribly embarrassed. I went to look at it this morningto find that the ‘POP’ I heard was the retainer pin break. 4 bucks at AdvancedAuto Parts in Pensacola and it was fixed. Sincerely hate to waste your time.Thank you for the dealership recommendation. I will use that when I put a newAX-15 in early next year. I’m unhappy with my junk slave cylinder I got from O’reily’s.
