Default Cluster gauges issue.

Long story short. My buddy spliced the Fog light switch into a lead of this connector. (white&black cable) A few minutes later the cluster gauges stopped working.

I took the cluster out and cleaned the connectors and no luck. There was power (12v) to that wire when the key was on the ON position but not anymore. I check fuses on the interior of the car as well as the distributor box and nothing

Also, the rear defroster no longer stays ON and the interior dome light stays on for a few seconds now. It was never like that prior to the incident.

Anyone know what that small box is for or what it does? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't understand what you were wiring up to but you may have blown just the fuse to the gauges & wiring problem needs to be corrected on what you did. When I switched idiot light cluster to a gauge cluster I pulled fuse & that is what it looked like till I put fuse back in.

Wiring up some Hella Fog Lights. My immediate reaction was to turn off the On/Off switch when I saw the gauge ODO lights flickering. I proceeded to rewire the foglights and now those are working just fine. But my cluster gauges are still down.

Where could I find the schematics of for that small module? I tried to see if it could come apart so that I can check it with a voltmeter. But it's not really budging at all.
