I'm getting a clunking sound that I feel when I turn the wheel back n forth just a couple inches. I just replaced the ball joints and wheel bearings and I feel it mostly on the driver's side floor. Any ideas what it could be? I feel like when I replaced the ball joints the ujoint was a bit stiff at times. But I'm not sure it would make that noise. All the other tie rods have been replaced. I recorded a video of the sound but it can't be uploaded to this site.

Update
**** Thanks for the advice, it was the driver's axle u joint after all*****

Axle universals? Steering column? Get a helper so you can crawl under there to verify.

The steering box bolts snap at the threads, this is extremely dangerous and should be checked immediately, there are 3, and once the first one goes, the other dont last long at all

They make a really loud crack when they let go...remember hearing that recently ?

The trackbar bolts also need to be very tight

could be a lot of things, put the front on stands, crawl under, have someone rotate the wheel, use a big prybar or jack on any part that may work loose or be worn

go back over any ball joint style part you replaced, pull the split pin, and crank it down, as they settle, they can become quite lose
