Default Closing of rear air?

Pulled my console to make sure there were no surprises under there when I go to do my floors here in a week or so. Didn't find any rust but I did find where the PO drilled a hole through the console and through the rear duct. An easy fix I guess but I really don't have need for rear air. After it's all said and done my jeeps just going to be a 2 seater anyway. Would I hurt anything by just closing it off?

Shouldn't hurt anything. Might even give you a bit more pressure coming out of the other vents.
