For the past two years, the climate control on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee has not operated properly. In the fall, I would set the temp to warm and it would take a few weeks for the unit to blow warm air. In the spring, I would set the temp to cold and again a few weeks were required for the unit to blow cold air. This year, the air temp is stuck on warm.

I have received two quotes of over $700 to repair the blend door.

Any way I can make this repair myself?

Its most likely a vacuum issue or some linkage under the dash came apart.

 

There is a small motor that controls the door.

Move the switch position on the dash and watch it cycle.

Arnt these doors vacuum operated on late model XJ's?
