clicking sound only when i turn and a/c only blows through defrost vents

a clicking/popping sound when i turn (like when cv joints go bad) and the a/c only blows air through the defrost vents

Popping from where? Speed related? What maintenances or assessments have you done of ac/coolant systems?

Concerning the defrost vents issues, open this link and review the pics of the engine bay vacuum system. Click the image to make it larger. Inspect the vacuum lines in your engine bay for defects.

Concerning the clicking sound; it's either your u-joints or hub bearings.
