Hey guys, This problem is kinda hard to explain.
But while the Jeep is in drive I can hear a clicking noise coming from the Rear diff area.
Also when i jacked up the rear end and just turn the wheels by hand and listen.
I can hear a clicking noise form around the rear Diff ..

Any clues on what this might be?
Fluid was check and is full, any pointers would help.

Also there is new D.S. on front and Rear, so its is not drive shaft related.


Further into it..

Took cover off, drained fluid, (was foamy) check gears and nothing out of normal is present. -224 was written on the main gear..

did drive through mud puddle few weeks ago. (possible cause of fluid being foamy)??

 

Did you turn the wheels when the cover was off, to see/listen if it was coming from the diff indeed?

And foamy could mean water/mud has entered and mixed withthe diff oil...
