clear coat question
what is the easiest way to take the clear coat off of wheels? i tried an emery cloth, but it is too slow. i know a wire brush will mess up the aluminum. i hear ez-off is pretty effective, what do you say?

The stuff you need is aircraft grade paint remover. I used it on my aluminium wheels, worked great. Just remember to follow the instructions, and I would definitely recommend a respirator and some good chemical gloves. (it will eat through nitriles and latex) Here is a link to one similar to mine, just as an example.
I bought mine from a local autobody suppliers shop. This is definitely the route to take for the clearcoat remover. And I would also recommend a few plastic scrapers to remove the stuff after (metal will scratch, and the remover slowly eats up the plastic, i pretty much used one per 2 wheels, but they work well.
Any questions just shoot em.
