Pics would helpful. Do you mean they're not lining up with the bracket bolt holes? What size lift? Did the arms come with a kit or not? What size arms did you get? All this info will help get you a proper answer.

Without any more info my guess is that you just need to take a ratchet strap and pull the axle in whichever direction - most likely towards the front of the vehicle - and you'll be good. But again, that's just off the info you've given. Again, a picture would be helpful to see where your axle is sitting .

If this ^^ is the case, just pull the axle forward with a ratchet strap like I said above. When you pull the arms the free weight of the axle pulls it towards the back of the vehicle. That, and longer arms will position the axle further forward to keep the axle centered fore/aft with a lift kit.

I found that a scissor jack works great, iv'e used ratchet straps alone in the past and can tell you it's much easier with one of these.

you can still get the uppers in. it just takes some more movement of the axle to get them in.

The jam nut is supposed to go on the frame side so flip the arms around so they are good.

I chose to mount mine facing down--thought being moisture won't collect inside the threads with no place to drain.
