Clear Coat/Paint fail--Cheap Fix
Hi all, Couldn't find my previous post....New thread... Clear coat fail 95'Cherokee....No money left for looks...all went into lift, and upgrades for my Baja trip.
Roughed up the hood part that was going to be covered in Vinyl. with #2 steel wool.....Smooth wet sanded the areas that wouldn't be covered. After sanding used Mopar rattle cans to paint area not to be covered in vinyl.
And a textured Black paint for the area under the wipers... Not too bad..I wasn't expecting perfection...But I am happy with results...Better than before..
BAJA here I come

Good save! The (original?) paint on my hood is getting a little flakey in places and I was wondering about doing it in satin black rather than trying to match the rest of the Jeep, but that vinyl is a great idea.
