So tapped into my power outlet in the dash in order to run a relay for a power inverter I was trying to permanentely install. I accidentally crossed the wires on the switch and snapped and crackled and obviously didnt work after that. The power outlet stopped working but the cigarette lighter was fine haivng not touched it at all. The #1 fuse location (power outlet) had a blown 25A fuse and I replaced it. Somewhere along the lines now neither of them work. I rechecked all fuses and they are all fine. WHAT THE HECK???

Possibly a related side note, I was sitting in the cab trying to figure this thing out and stepped out and got shocked once I touched the body outside.

And...I have since removed all wiring I had done and still having the issue

Ouch, sounds like a wire heated up enough to remove the insulation and is now grounded out. You are going to need to trace any and all wiring involved in that circuit. I suggest a good wiring diagram, 'cause this could take time.

You will and to disconnect the battery (both pos and neg. ) And start checking continuity from the positive to chassis ground. Start working your way back up the positive path. Follow anything that is reading continuity from pos to Ground. Eventually you will find the culprit. But it may take a while.

You can save some time, if you start at the fusebox.
