Engine: 4.0 L
Auto 3.55 Manual 3.07. This with the 4.0 engine. Of course the Cherokee had tow packages and you could custom order different gear sets.
Another way to find out is to jack up the back end and spin the drive shaft. Make a mark on the pinion yoke and differential so you can tell when you made a complete revolution and also make marks on the tire.
If it takes just a tiny little more than 3 turns for a complete turn you have 3.07. If you do 3 1/2 turns you have 3.55. If you do 3 and almost 3/4 you have 3.73 and if you have to do slightly over 4 you have 4.10's.

check to see if there's a metal tag on the diff cover ,if so that generally has the info on it ...like said above look for the #'s 3.55(auto) or 3.07(manual)
