Default chr 8.25 rear brake drums

anyone got a good photo or diagram on how the emergency brake actuator is installed. I did a searh but couldn't find anything. Did the classic mistake of disassembling both at the same time, now i have no reference

does it tie into the crossmember that goes between the 2 shoes?

Yeah the parking brake cable attaches to the lever which fits into a slot in the "crossmember" you're talking about. Notice your "crossmember" has a wider slot on one end. That is the end without the spring and it fits over the parking brake lever and the brake shoe. Can't remember how the lever attaches to the back of the shoe but I believe it has a pin and a clip.
