Yesterday morning i replaced the air filter since i forgot to do it when i did the oil change last month. Everything was fine until i started it and head to work..while driving i tried to pass a slow car and steped on the pedal and then i heard several booms coming from the engine and the rpm went from 2500 to around 300 to 0 in a sec and it shut off. I stoped and the i started the engine and it started right up no problem... I kept driving and i came to a traffic light and as i was stoping the jeep started choking again and rpm went to zero again the the engine shut off...and again it started right up and it did the same thing again on the next traffic 3 lights. Also if i stepped on the gas pedal it will choke and shut down...Later that day when i was heading home i could barely go to around 1500rpm and if i passed it the engine would choke and shut down...and also it shuted down on every traffic light. This morning i tried to start it and it took me more than 15 tries till it fired up finally, went to store and same problems...i have new spark plugs and i put em in when i cane home but problem didnt go away. Tonight i tried to start it and again...over 15 tries till it fired up. Anyone has an idea what could be the issue? Is it maybe the crank shaft sensor or im looking at a bigger problem?

You might try swapping the air filter back and see if that makes a difference. Is the check engine light on?

No the engine light is off.
will try the other filter tomorrow

Codes can still be tripped and not have the CEL on. Might want to get it scanned.

Problem solved. Had a crazy fuel leak so there was not enough fuel going in the engine wich caused the issues i had... 5$ fix DIY
