The super 44 with a hi-flow cat is the best sound I have heard come out of a cherokee with the 4.0 I6. Its deep, throatey, and barks. I am a fan

The problem with glasspacks, is that when all the fiberglass burns out, it sounds like a queefing dog. Its horrible. My friend has one on his rodeo and I just laugh. Every time.

Chambered Mufflers for the win. Now...the cherry bomb extreme is the ****. Its like 8 inches long, and has one chamber. Its super beefy, and I imagine is sounds great! Too bad they dont work unless you get it welded on. I learned that the hard way. Long story short, AAP is full of chronic liars who dont know anything

x2 on the cherry bomb extream. especially if you can find them in stainless. imco quit making the stainless version but some shops still have them laying around

hows your gas without the cat?
I'm thinking about gutting mine, and fitting it with a pipe to have a straight shot (for appearance sake), and then having another cat to bolt on in place when i go for emissions.

Mine sucks now but I dont drive much highway with it so it could get better. My buddy drives his YJ as a DD and his mileage dropped like crazy when he took his off.

just take it off and bust the insides out and then when they look under the jeep they see that it has one and all is good.

i did this to one of my jeeps and i did not notice anything with my gas mileage.

so...i cut off the cherry bomb in favor for another cheapo muffler. the thrust welded which is the same as a flowmaster 40 series...yea...it is awesome!!! it sounds soooo good. i love it haha...spend the extra 20 bucks and get a 40$ muffler instead of a 25$ cherrybomb

Anyone has part numbers for the thrust welded? I found some on eBay but have different part numbers. Or is there a better website?
