Default Cherokee Service Manual H E L P !!

I got the Chrysler original service manual and I'm having a problem understanding it.
On almost every subject there is another one with the same name followed by this (A), for example, there is CLUTCH and CLUTCH (A) or ENGINE and ENGINE (A).
I was trying to find the viscous fan working temperature and I got two different numbers from COOLING SYSTEM and COOLING SYSTEM (A)
Can anyone tell me what does it mean.

Moved to OEM tech.

Maybe its for Cali emission equipped vehicles? Maybe its for the 4cyl vs 6cyl engines.

There has to be an asterisk or something explaining it somewhere.

The sections with the A are typically for alternate situations like a right hand drive or diesel version. You can often tell by carefully reading the intro section.

If you have a left hand drive gas version. Ignore the A sections.

I don't get why the fan temperature is different.
in COOLING SYSTEM it is 165° to 180° F.
in COOLING SYSTEM (A) it is 180° to 195° F.

The reason the numbers are different is the section cooling section (A) is for the 2.5L diesel, at least in my manual. If you read into the section a little way, look for the radiator section and in my manual it says:

RADIATOR
The radiator used with the 2.5L diesel is constructed
of a horizontal down-flow brass core with
plastic side tanks.

The manual is not the clearest on identifying what the A section is for. If you read the details carefully there will be a hint as to what the A section is for.

I am assuming you have a gas engine, so ignore the A sections.

Great, Thank you.
I was looking at the wrong sections more than once, I decided to delete all sections with the (A), now I have it trimmed down just for me.
