I have looked all day for this info and thought I might as well bother you guys for the info.

My 1989 Cherokee Laredo has an aftermarket rear view in it - looks like it was bought from autozone (nothing fancy) - its gross and needs to go. i woudl iek to put and OEM rear view in it and found an 83 and 90 online.

The 83 is cheaper and in great condition, the 90 is a little more expensive and has no picture to gauge condition.

Does anyone know if the rear view changed from 83 - 1990 (seems silly but the size and mount can make a difference)? The current one is so wide i cant put down my shade without moving it out of the way.

autoparts store and go to a jy, alot easier than worrying about internet and seeing the condition

 

Their all the same as far as i know. Maybe the 97+ if they have auto dim?

I'm still trying to figure out exactly where it should be glued. Just when you really want to see another XJ in the parking lot to look at, you'll NEVER see one. I've been looking for two days!

Thanks - that does show me how far down from the headliner it goes....so I glued it up...twice...and it fell down both times.

Does anybody know of which mirror glue works? I did it EXACTLY like the instructions say and the thing fell off the instant I put the mirror back on the button.
