Hi, wondering if someone knows about the following:

My 94 cheokee fuel pump kept running intermittingly while I was driving, I could hear it, so I replaced the fuel pump.

Now, the fuel pump keeps running intermittingly (like my old one did) AND the engine now hesitates after starting, then stalls when I let of the gas and blows the 30 amp engine contol fuse.

My guess is the orginal problem wasnt the fuel pump, and now what ever the problem, is worse.

any suggestions?

 

I had a similar problem on one of my rigs. I changed the fuel pump and the crap in the tank got loosened up and clogged the fuel filter and choked out my engine anytime I let off on the gas, it would die.
