Default Cherokee acting funny while stopped in drive

Hey all. I have a 1990 jeep cherokee Laredo 4.0. It has recently started making like a grindy feel when I am in "drive" but stopped like at a light with foot on the break. It's almost like a knocking noise and you can feel it on the floor board.
When I put it into neutral it stops but as soon as i put it into drive it starts again.
Anybody have any ideas what this is all about?
Thanks

Does it vibrate? I'm not positive but it might be loose flywheel bolts.

Yes it vibrates but only when I'm in drive and at a stop. Is that something I could fix or should I take it somewhere?
