So my headlight switch needed replacing.
Ordered the one for the 94 XJ.
Anybody else come across this?
Look at the pics. The big connector pinout is identical.
But the switch on the back is totally wrong.
Is this just a ground I can "make work"?
All the sites seem to show me the one that arrived is the correct one with the two conenctors underneath.
But this OEM part (Chrysler logo on it Part # 56007334) seems to be over twice the price from JEGS or Summit Racing..and I cant find its analog on RockAuto.
I am hoping to find out if I can connect my single to one of the doubles on the new one. Or get a link to the right part for less than $40
Any ideas??

Everything seems to indicate that old part number was superseded by a different part number with that new design. If nobody comes up with an answer here, what I'd probably do is take the old switch down to the dealer parts counter and get them to pull out a new one. If the new one they pull has two blades, I would put the old one on the counter next to it and ask how to make that work. They should be able to tell you, or pull a tech from the garage to tell you.
If it has one blade, I'd just go ahead and buy it and pay way too much for it. But that's just me.
One of those blades is probably a ground, and you can probably make it work by just plugging your ground wire to that blade and ignoring the other. Which one is the ground is the question. I suspect I know which one, but I don't want to be responsible for you melting a wiring harness if I'm wrong.
