check engine/ no bus

check engine/ no bus
my 00 cherokee check engine check came on, no bus came on, taqch stoped working, speedo stopped, horn stuck on, lights wouldnt shut off, locks started locking by themselves, then the gages started working again then would suddenly stop again.... PLEASE HELP!!!! used an obd2 and there was no code...

First, freshen up your engine grounds. Grounds can be the cause of many an electrical "gremlin".
If grounds are okay/fresh, then a common symptom of a failing "crankshaft position sensor" is the NO BUS
What happens is the sensor shorts out and that shorts out the computer bus, therefore the message.
It is not uncommon for this sensor to fail and NOT set a code.
Try this. Unplug the connector for the crank sensor. You can do this at the sensor itself on the bellhousing, or easier is to unplug the connector under the hood near the firewall #6 injector.
By unplugging the crank sensor, you remove it from the bus. NOW check to see if the NO BUS message is gone from the dash.
If it is, you have smoking gun proof that the crank sensor is shorted and replacing it should get you rolling again.
