Check Engine light on, possible TCM issue?
Well the jeep has been acting a little weird, so the other day i started the jeep and my Temp gauge wasn't working properly, it was saying the operating temp was around 120-130 then the needle jumped up to normal temp for a second then dropped back down to 120-130. Everything seems to be running fine tho. I drove to work, got out of work started the jeep and the temp gauge seemed to be working fine, altho it was a little slow to reach temp. then on my way home the check engine light came on. but before i could get home to read the code. the light went off. started the jeep this morning same thing happened. The temp gauge was acting a little strange and the check engine light came on. So i was able to read the code and it was throwing 4 codes. p1281, p1698, p0700 and p1694. I have a simple reader so it only tells me the codes no the possible cause. again everything seems to be running fine. but the temp gauge still is acting a bit strange. it shows im running around 160. I believe 3 of the codes are for the tranny? any help with be appreciated. oh and on a side note. i ran to the auto store and the check engine light went off again. could the temp issue have anything to do with the tranny codes?
