Check engine light is open
When I will make reset to the ECU of my XJ the check engine light which now is open, will it close ?

If you have a check engine light that is currently ON, you need to retrieve the codes from the computer to see what circuit needs further diagnosis. Just resetting the electrical system can turn off the check engine light momentarily, but as soon as the vehicle is running again and sees the same conditions, the check engine light will again be illuminated.
For a 99, you will need either a scan tool or a code reader. Post the EXACT code(s) here for comment.

That thing is amazing. Download an app on your phone or tablet to use it. I personally use the app TorquePro. It will show you EVERYTHING you need to know. $20 + about $5 for the app. Its bluetooth to your phone.
