Jeep Cherokee 1995 2.5TD engine check light lights after a few seconds running
Engine starts fine , is very "clattery" noisy for maybe 10 seconds (Engine check light stays off) then engine noise disapears and Check Engine Light comes on !!

Also the rev counter/tacho has stopped working (this stopped the first time the Check engine Light came on & hasn't worked since

Does the engine turns off? Or keeps running? I had got the same problem, why dont you take it to diagnostics? Or if you turn the key 3 or 5times on-off the check engine light shut blink the mistake

 

Ok, Engine keep running,and truck drive normaly,but I thing the lower rpm is little poor performance. I check that ingniton thing...Sorri for my english.I`m from Estonia and here can nobody help that thing.

Code 32-Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) solenoid circuit-open or short detected in the EGR solenoid circuit/EGR system failure-required change in fuel/air ratio not detected during diagnostic test.
