He's got a new CPS. But agreed on everything else. also run another ground to the body from the negative terminal use a 10 ga or larger wire, could just be attached to a clean part on the fender, then run another ground to the engine using the same GA also directly from the battery terminal. and then finally from the firewall to the engine block. you can always run more but if you use a heavier GA wire that should be adequate. wouldn't hurt since you have proof of the engine running lean to rent a fuel gauge and check fuel pressure. it may be able to build up reasonable pressure with the engine not running but it may not be able to sustain it.

I did the fuel injector swap last year, sadly I think this might be the cause of the engine running lean. I ended up with the yellow ford injectors. But she ran better than she ever had befor.

We’ll. Can’t explain this one. It runs.. and idles about 600 rpm’s smoothly. Runs really good. Drove it for about 20 minutes. Not sure what happened but I’m happy it works. New coil pack, new injectors, new plugs, clean throttle body sensor- a can of seafoam and re adjust camshaft position sensor.
may bet was the cam pos sensor. Anyways, thanks for the help.

I'm having the same problem right now with a 91 Cherokee.
I'm noticing that this final post is by theBlackPearl, not bullstang360, and that it's 11 years later. Quite a bump! Is this still the same individual posting about the same Jeep? Anyway, happy that theBlackPearl has a running Cherokee 😄

Oh yeah, did your CEL ever come back (I was just getting ready to tear apart the dashboard)?
