cheap lockers
okay so i want an aussie locker for the front b/c its cheap and a pretty decent locker, but for hte back wahts a good way to go? i have a 29 spline 8.25 so i wasnt sure wat would be best for me. PLEASE dont say detroit or ARB or any of that stuff i cant afford that, im thinking something closer to the aussies price. Would it be a bad idea to get a rebuild LSD from a stock 8.25 that came with an LSD from the factory?

I understand Loc-Rite is a good way to go for a budget locker...it is probably what I will do down the road. I also have a 8.25 in my '94 and I'm pretty sure that Quadratec or 4wd.com sells one for that diff.

Lock Right and Powertrax both have lockers for the 8.25, powertrax makes one for the 29 spline. Aussie's was in production but a part that they outsourced was made wrong, so the release got pushed back. at least that's what they told me.

I know this is a little off subject and has more than likeky been covered before, but I didn't want to start a thread just for this.
If you have no locking device in either axle what one would you do first, front or rear?. Limited funds, but both ends will get a locker in due time.
Vehicle: '90 XJ Dana 30 front, Dana 35 rear, 3.55 gears. It is used for mainly dry desert wheel'n.

That's the direction I was leaning. I know there are different theories on this subject. As for the 35 it's saying till it breaks, then an 8.8 will replace it.
