Changing idiot lights to gauges

My Cherokee came with idiot lights. They seem to work, but I'd rather see potential problems coming incrementally with gauges. If I switched out my dash panel containing lights with a panel containing gauges (one from a junk yard), would they work without repacing the sensors?

Thanks

PS: Jeep is a '96-engine is a 4.0

yea it should work fine. i believe that all jeeps are wired for everything. should be plug in play. the only think is that your mileage will be off. if you care.

pretty sure your going to have to change out the coolent temp sensor on the back of the head, and the oil pressure sensor near the oil filter. They are not the same. Grab the ones from the JY XJ too if you want because they are about 20 each new.
