I put bigger tires on my xj, and the speedometer is off, how can I change the gauge so it reads right, other than changing the gears in the axle?

Can i get a chip and compensate for it that way?
Id rather just get brand new gauges ie:speedometer,tach,temo, all of that.. is it possible to get a new speedometer?

If not, then i want to fix the gauge, but is there any way to change the light in the display from white to like green or something more exciting? Please and thank you

 

They sell new speedo gears for specific applications. If you do a for speedometer gears I am sure you will find what you need. All they are is a little plastic gear that bolts to the side of your t-case. They have different ratios for different tire sizes vs different gear ratio's. That should be all you need. I've seen custom gauge faces on ebay. Most of them are white and the gauges glow blue and red at night.

I believe you can get replacement bulbs for your instrument cluster that have colored covers giving you the desired color you want.

Kid.. what trans you have in your rig? Auto or stick? Not listed in your sig, i'll check what gear tooth count you need to get your speedo accurate again.

And your sig mentions camo everything... i'd like to see pics. I have some camo in my rig as well.

That looks cool. Now is that camoclad or some other type of vinyl adhesive?
