Changed cluster background, speedo problem.
I changed my gauge cluster background, to do this i needed to pull the needles for the speedo and gas gauge. I've seen other people do this change so I assumed it was safe to pull the needles. I was as delicate as possible. I placed the needles back and it registers as having an extremely full tank and is about 30MPH over... I tried clicking the key and pushing trip reset. It moves the needles but they do not set to the correct location. Did i screw myself? any advice??
I haven't tried this while running.... will do, once I get up and let you know how it works. Any advice from people that did a similar mod? I saw someone repainted their needles and had them removed from the cluster.... i'm hopin i'm not burnt..

I've always heard that prior to doing this you need to turn on the ignition and mark the positions of the needles on the old background so you have a reference point as to where they should be on the new one. Not sure if there is a fix for this :/
well, speedo is easy enough.. zero. and i remembered where the fuel needle was. i'd put it back (when the jeep was off), then when I turned it on itd jump to the full side of the spectrum. I kept track of how much fuel i've added so it wouldn't be too hard to guestimate.
