Post CB Antena Grounding Question...

So I have my antena(firestick brand) for my CB mounted between the hood and front fender with a Z bracket. I want to move it to the back. I want to mount it to directly to the body(rear quarter panel) of the Jeep.
Will mounting it directly to the body be a good enough ground?
I have used the search feature and have not found any info about the body being an adequate grounding source.

Would probably be OK without extra grounding.

Personally, I wouldn't want to drill holes in my rear side panel if didn't need to. I would go to your nearest CB shop or Truck Stop and buy a bumper mount and mount it to rear bumper, no drilling that way. Actual bumper, not the end caps.

Also, Firesticks(excluding the 2-3 foot short ones) are OK antennas, but will get best send receive CB performance with a good quality antenna like a MonkeyMade or Terminator. Kind of the same as speakers for your audio. Good speakers will make any receiver sound better. Cheap speakers like, Walmart/Autozone Kraco or Jenson's won't allow you to hear the sound potential of your receiver.

breaker breaker... Thanks for the help LOL! I do have a custom rear bumper and was thinking about putting it there, but I thought the higher the antena the more reception you can pick up. Im not worried about drilling holes in the body either. Its not in the best shape and I have the very rear quater panels cut right underneath the tail lights. Thinking about mounting the antena bracket inbetween the gas door and the tail light
