Default Cat Replacement

I might need to replace my cat soon. Any suggestions on what to buy? It needs to be legal and fairly cheap. I'm considering an aftermarket high-flo since original ones can get pretty expensive.

These guys have the cheapest decent-quality cats that I'm aware of:

If you still have the original cat. on it, check with your local dealership as there was a recall on the original stock one. I got mine replaced for free last year....gee, it only had 200,000 mi. on it! LOL! It was so plugged up it was making the xj run like crap!

Those are pretty inexpensive. Don't want to call them cheap, as I feel that refers to their quality(any reviews?), not price.

Don't know about the '89...call your local Jeep dealer and ask. Couldn't hurt.

I have the 2.5" OBDII cat from them. I've only had it installed for about a month, so can't speak to the long term, but it didn't look any better or worse than the ones I looked at from Advance Auto. Just half the price.
It fit correctly, nothing rattles.... CEL stays off....so far so good.
