Ah I gotcha I may try that too but it will prolly be the same me driving 100+ miles to go look at one IF someone answers but thanks for the tip I may try it. If I do sell it I know I will regret it but I can always get another one later down the road like I said I need a truck I'm tired of having to call some one to haul something for me cause I can't fit it in my Toyota echo lol

You never know. Maybe there is someone else nearer you using that Craig's list. I "got lucky", last fall, 1,000 feet of poly pipe for $75, and the guy happened to be passing my way. I just had to go 3 miles to the Hwy. to meet him.

It's just not a rare thing. There has to be one near you, you gust gotta find it! (Not that you haven't tried)

Picked up my new block today now off to machine shop tomorrow morning.

I started researching a cam too by going to jeep strokers and on most of the options they reccomend
Comp cams pn 68-115-4
68-231-4 or
68-235-4
But in summit racing all of these cams say that they cannot be used on fuel injected engines. If they cannot be used what cam should I go with? Im not looking for an extreme cam just a little more agresdive than stock

I don't know myself. I think they added some struts or something to strengthen the newer blocks. I think I even saw some deal on a guy ADDING them..Idk, that doesn't sound right. Anyway I thought you might see something in this link that might help....

Yeah dunno if your still planning on the 5.0 stroker, but just a little FYI.. Had a buddy close bye going to buy a 4.9 stroker from Titan, and they told him they have to go through 2-3 blocks sometimes as the cylinder walls are sometimes too small.. I definitely wouldnt DD something like that..

Don't bother with consumerreports.org. "505 performance" is over the 4 hr limit! (they didn't seem to be there)

I might bounce that one up in the "ask a question" thread, maybe have a better chance of catching someone who has been there....
