Here is some background on what I am working on. I have a 1989 Cherokee Pioneer, 4.0 Automatic.

I was having viberation issues and I narrowed it down to the front drive shaft (remove the shaft, no viberation). I noticed when I was taking the shaft off that the front ujoint had some slop in it so I replaced it and reinstalled the shaft.

Doing this removed most of the viberation, bot not all.

I started researching the procedure for rebuilding the double cardan joint and I am stuck on one issue. I have the part number for the centering yoke but there are two listed, greaseable and non greasable. Other than the obvious difference, I have fond some information that tells me that they are not interchangeable due to the post in the drive shaft end.

I checked and the yoke that is there now is a greaseable one but my question is, does anyone know what should have been on this jeep? Given what I have found so far on the rebuild, the previous owners were not too particular about getting the correct parts back where they were needed.

This may be a case where there is too much info on the internet but I like to have all the parts I need for a project available before I tear into it.

Nevermind, i just found the link that told me the years for greasable versus non greasable yokes! Just needed one more google search.
