5w30 might cause a knock on a cold high mileage engine with old bearings. My engine has low oil pressure, so Im considering either going up to 10w40 Mobile 1 HM or stay with 10w30 Mobile 1 HM with a bottle of Lucas.
well i just bought a bottle of lucas that stops oil leaks and helps quiet the engine, I think next oil change Ill go with 10w 40 and see if that makes a difference. I just need this motor to last me until i can rebuild the other one I have! I thought about doing the conversion and take out the adapter but I just needed to get her back on the road fast so I didnt do it.

Nah. I took my adapter off and then was like ... How the F am I supposed to get the filter off? Luckily I was able to wedge it into a D ring on my front bumper and twist it off after almost breaking my wife's wrist trying to have her hold it.
Always use 10w30 and Fram filter every 5000 to 7000 km. Peep is Rollin 499980 km now. Why fool with the snake oil?

Hmm... "Snake Oil". This phrase always pops up when oil is concerned.
I could argue all day, but its kinda like my father and I argueing about gas. His "old" gas was pure, the new gas has additives that are snake oil. Not all additives are snake oils. Granted many are, but not all.
