cant get bell housing seperated from motor

ok so im atempting to replace the thowout bearing in my 92 cherokee sport I6 4.0 manuel, i have followed the manul step by step just wont come apart ,,,,,im thinking i mite be missing a bolt or two ....i cnt see on th verry top of the bell housing so im just hopping somebody has some tips for me ,,,,all the shift linkage and drive shafts are off all the wire harnesses and all sooooo AAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all of the OEM engine-to-transmission screws are in place, there should actually be six.
- Two upper bellhousing screws, using E12 heads. 3/8"-16 thread.
- Two lower bellhousing screws, hex heads. 7/16"-14 thread.
- Two screws from the spacer plate to the bellhousing. Tapping screws, heads face forward. These need not be replaced, I've never bothered. Hex heads, something like 3/8", 7/16", or maybe 1/2".
The spacer plate must be replaced. The two screws that secure it to the bellhousing do not.
- Two upper bellhousing screws, using E12 heads. 3/8"-16 thread.
- Two lower bellhousing screws, hex heads. 7/16"-14 thread.
- Two screws from the spacer plate to the bellhousing. Tapping screws, heads face forward. These need not be replaced, I've never bothered. Hex heads, something like 3/8", 7/16", or maybe 1/2".
The spacer plate must be replaced. The two screws that secure it to the bellhousing do not.

Just did a motor swap on my 94. Motor/ bellhousing connection was tight and PIA. On each of the outer tranny bolts there was a sleeve that extended into the block and bellhousing.

Ya if you can't see the very top of the bell housing, you have two bolts holding it in there. I personally like lowering the trans jack to tilt the motor back, & sitting on the valve cover with a stubby ratchet wrench... comprenda?

thanks man i got it off now to swap the throwout bearing and get it back in ,,,,,,,i will update as i go thanks for the help guys

HAHAHAHA ya It was the two on the verry top .mine were actually E14 thanks for all the help .
