cant get 97 xj to start

cant get 97 xj to start

just put new motor in my jeep. When i started it it idled fine if i steped on the gas it would start to stutter. So i figured my timing was off once i tried to reset timing all it does is turn over. Any help would be great.
coil,cap, rotor is all new. Thanks agian

All your sensors, wires, grounds hooked up? ALL of em re check !

2xs that. . Mine did this too after my swap . It ended up being the timing. So double check that to.

Thank you guys it end up being the wire coming out of dist. It now runs great have thirty miles so far on it. Looking forward to building something that i will enjoy for years to come thanks agian.
