Cannot remove the oil pan
Alright so I pulled my jeep into the garage to work on replacing the rear main seal since it has been leaking, I jacked up the body and got it so the axle is hanging far as it can. I removed the bolts for the oilpan, popped it off and I cannot remove it from the vehicle. I tried jacking the transmission up a little to try to get a little more room and pull it out. It got close but not enough, I want to know am I doing something wrong? most the guides I have read don't really go into details on removing the pan. I even tried removing the front tires and having someone stand on the axle and push down but still no luck.

Stock height?
You'll need to disconnect things such as shocks, steering, trackbar etc to allow that front axle to drop enough. It's the oilpump your not clearing..
Some will suggest dropping the pump, but i dont cause i dont want to pull a dist to reprime it.

Alright I got it out, I put a bottle jack between the axle and the frame and jacked the axle down enough in till I could wiggle it out.

Installation
- Install a replacement oil pan front seal on the timing case cover and apply a generous amount of MOPAR Gasket-In-A-Tube, or equivalent to the recesses in the tab ends.
- Cement the replacement oil pan side gaskets into position on the cylinder block.
- Apply generous amount of MOPAR Gasket-In-A-Tube, or equivalent sealant to the end tabs of the gaskets.
- Coat the inside curved surface of the replacement oil pan rear seal with soap.
- Apply a generous amount of MOPAR Gasket-In-A-Tube, or equivalent sealant to the gasket contacting surface of the seal end tabs.
- Install the seal in the recess of the rear main bearing cap. Ensure that it is fully sealed. Either 1 or 2 sealing methods may be used.
-
- A sealant such as MOPAR Gasket-In-A-Tube, or equivalent, may be used instead of a gasket.
- If a gasket is used, coat both sides with a quick drying adhesive such as MOPAR Gasket Compound, or equivalent.
- Apply engine oil to the oil pan contacting surface of the front and rear oil pan seals.
- Install the oil pan.
-
- Tighten the 1/4-20 oil pan bolts to 9 Nm (80 in lbs) torque.
- Tighten the 5/16-18 oil pan bolts to 15 Nm (11 ft lbs) torque.
- Tighten the drain plug to 41 Nm (30ft lbs) torque.
- Lower the engine until it is properly located on the engine mounts.
- Install the through bolts and tighten the nuts to 65 Nm (48 ft lbs) torque.
- Lower the jack stand and remove the piece of wood.
- Install the starter motor.
- Install the flywheel/torque converter housing access cover.
