I've looked and looked but can't find a good write up on this with pics. I'm sure once I get my eyes on the actually wiring in the jeep it'll be easier, but it's dark out and I'm on a mission to find a good write up. Anyone?? Jeep is a 1997 xj. Thanx

I try to answer all emails inside of 24 hours - but I'm a one-man band, so if you don't hear from me in a day or so, please (gently!) joggle my elbow...

If I'm travelling, I've got the autoresponder set. If I'm not travelling, I may have gotten busy or rapidly become Overtaken By Events (OBE,) and I'm trying to sort things out.

Whatever the cause, I'm not ignoring you - but I do have emergencies pop up from time to time (probably a bit more often than most people, irritatingly.)

But, you should have gotten a reply by now - I went through my inbox and answered everything, sending out the last message about a half-hour ago (currently 16FEB2014 @ 2020 Pacific.)

Yes thanks Jon. I found your name on a very old post so I wasn't even sure if the email was still correct lol. Thanks for getting back to me though!

You're quite welcome. As I said - I may become OBE, but I'm not ignoring anyone! Things just get a little stupid for me from time to time...

Thank you - that's the sort of thing that keeps me going. I know there are delays from time to time (usually about when I get clobbered, or when I find I have to change vendors,) but I always hope to be worth the wait...

Uugh, I decided NOT to buy my cables from 5-90 because I needed to complete the project over a day or so (damn catastrophic failures).

I really regret it - crimping turned into a nightmare and I messed up my measurements and ended up junking some expensive wire because I cut it too short. His cables are above top notch, I wouldn't even waste my time with making them myself if I were to do it again.

And thank you for that...

Seriously, most people don't realise that a certain amount of thinking and experience goes into this. I am assisted by a couple of things:
- A couple of decades of doing mechanical work of all sorts (save body work. I'm an engineer, not an artist.)
- Plenty of screwups of my own, and the experience from those fine-tuning my techniques (same was I learned how to design things that don't break. I've designed plenty of things that damned sure DID break - then I tore them to bits to find out WHY they broke, and what I could do about it. Sometimes, I just needed a process change. Sometimes, I had to scrap it and start over. Usually, it was somewhere in between...)

This is very detailed.
I just finished my mains cabling from Jon ( aka 5-90). Great product.
