I have a 96 xj with 4.5" RE extreme duty lift with full leaf packs. i want to get 2" spacers and lift shackles for it. i also have a TC drop. should i be ok with the 2" extra lift and no SYE? i have a buddy that sits 1.5" higher than me and he has no sye and no vibes. his is a 94. thanks guys

It's hard to say because every Jeep is different. I would just add the spacers and shackles since it's not that hard of a job and if you have vibes, you could always shim the rear to see if it helps. Eventually, you should get an SYE with that much lift though.

i'm at 8 with no t-case drop or vibes. but i am shimmed.
i have a brand new sye still in the box, but gonna do a doubler now instead.
so i say try it, you may be ok. i do however have a yj slip yoke on my driveshaft.
