Default Can my A/C be eliiminated???

Can I take my A/C unit off the engine without it messing any thing up? And if so how do I re route or go about the belt issue....

yes you can.... bypass pulley. just search that in google along with your year make and model and youll find something probably only 50bucks. i was searching for that but they dont make it for my year xj anymore

Googled the bypass pulley and cannot find any past 1991... I have 1990 XJ....... any other ideas or does anyone make a bypass for this year???????

They are available in 98. Not sure if your speaking of another jeep.. As for the 90 xj i dont think they make it for that year there was another guy on here asking for one for a 89. Let me find the link and ill post

you can use the bypass pulley off the grand chero's on the 97' n newer xj's, just have to modify the bracket a bit

I have a 90 and found a bypass pulley in a junkyard off an 88 for $10.00. It did take a couple of weeks and a few junk yards but they are out there. One from an 88 to 90 will fit. The mounting bolt pattern changed in 91 for the HO motor.

What about the 4 cylinder? If you could find a 4 cylinder without a/c would that pulley work or are they totally different?

Thanks guys for the help.... found a local junk yard today with 2 cherokee's ... a 88 and a 90....yay for me... mostly still intact...
