Can i run XJ without pcv valve for a day or two?

After that I could insert the screwdriver between the fitting and the grommet and bit by bit by prying and somewhat-twisting remove the fitting.
This may be a bit tricky in reality and not as simple as may look on the pictures, but it's possible.

once the fitting is out, the grommet can be removed pretty easily , again by prying with a screwdriver. The rubber may actually crack, mine did so as you can see on the photo...
