If I take out this rubber sheet from under the engine will it hurt anything like airflow over the radiator or anything?

I ripped mine out along with inside the fenders

Its just a splash guard. Tear it off or just wait and it will fall off before you know it.

I think it's there for a little splash protection (very little) for the alternator....ours is laying on the garage floor but when u've had less than 2" of rain in 13 months, u don't need much splash protection.

X2 That is crucial, you don't want the bearings to fall out, they keep the time sequence modulator in time.

Yeah, the turbo encapulator is very touchy! You'll rip the dingle arm right off of it!

same concept as the "do not remove under penalty of law" labels on your mattress. Just the gov't version for an xj. true story

I wonder how many people have been too scared to rip the tag off once they own it lololol
